Job Description
Role Description
As Strategic Finance Analyst / Senior Analyst, you will design, build and present high-visibility, cross-functional analyses that drive how C-level leaders allocate capital, grow revenue and drive long-term value creation.
You will lead high priority strategic initiatives spanning:
- Service line strategy
- Payor / network strategy
- Investment opportunities – including evaluation of de novo expansion, joint ventures and acquisitions
This is a largely greenfield role, with high-value questions that need answering. The ideal candidate is analytically sharp, capable of navigating ambiguity, and energized by taking ownership of blank-canvas problems.
This is a remote role. We are only hiring in the following states: AZ, CA, NM, NV, OR, TX and WA.
What you will do:
-
Service Line Strategy
- Evaluate the viability of new service line additions, including demand forecasts, incremental cost structures, and investment return
- Identify coverage gaps and other opportunities to expand existing service lines to underserved locations
- Determine the optimal feature set for the rehabilitation service lines – identifying where program complexity adds cost without driving payor value, and recommending design changes that improve unit economics while maintaining clinical outcomes and competitive positioning
-
Payor & Network Strategy
- Evaluate patient economics – including reimbursement rates, authorization patterns, service line utilization and contribution margin – to identify which payor relationships and referral channels to prioritize
- Build models to support payor contracting – quantifying the financial value of our programs and determining optimal pricing structures
- Evaluate the ROI of existing marketing and referral strategies to identify where business development investment is generating returns and where it should be reallocated
-
Investment Analysis & Modeling
- Build three-statement financial models to evaluate de novo expansion and new market entry
- Model joint venture structures, including patient volume projections and deal economics
- Evaluate acquisition targets – analyzing cost structures, provider compensation, valuation and projected returns
-
Process Improvement
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve strategic finance processes
- Develop and adopt best practices for integration of AI tools into financial workflows
Qualifications
- 2+ years of strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, transaction advisory, private equity, venture capital or FP&A experience
- Comfortable operating at the intersection of finance and strategy – able to structure a problem, build the analysis, and communicate the recommendation
- High intellectual curiosity; proactively identifies the right questions, not just answers to questions asked
- Analytically sharp; capable of navigating ambiguity and energized by owning blank-canvas problems
- Excel: Able to build financial models that are clean, dynamic and maintainable by others
- PowerPoint: Able to distill complex analyses into clear, concise presentations for executive leadership, the board, and the private equity sponsor
