• Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. • Mentor and support the accounting team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback. • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards. • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion. • Perform CECL and ASC 842 calculations independently and ensure proper implementation and documentation. • Oversee sales tax activities, ensuring compliance with state and industry-specific tax requirements. • Maintain internal controls and identify areas for improvement in accounting processes. • Collaborate with Finance and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity. • Support audits and regulatory filings through accurate recordkeeping and documentation. • Monitor and analyze trends to detect and prevent fraud or accounting irregularities.
