Role Description
The Director of North America Marketing will own the development and execution of the North America marketing strategy, translating global brand vision into regional growth across e-commerce, digital and retail channels. This role sits at the intersection of brand, commercial performance, and executional excellence, with accountability for driving awareness, demand, and revenue while maintaining the highest standards of brand consistency and operational rigor.
This leader will partner closely with Global Brand, Media, Sales, Digital, and Creative teams, serving as a key connector between North America and Global. The ideal candidate is both strategic and detail-oriented, highly fluent in numbers and performance analysis, and deeply experienced in digital-first, omnichannel marketing.
A typical day might include a mix of the following:
-
Own North America Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Define and lead the North America marketing strategy in alignment with global brand priorities and regional commercial objectives.
- Translate global campaigns into high-impact regional go-to-market plans, tailoring execution by retailer, channel, and customer while preserving brand integrity.
- Own the North America marketing calendar, ensuring clear prioritization, sequencing, and cross-functional alignment across promotions, campaigns, and launches.
- Establish clear points of view on where to invest, scale, test, or pull back based on performance and business needs.
-
Drive Omnichannel & Digital Growth
- Lead omnichannel marketing planning across channels with a strong digital-first mindset.
- Partner with Media, Growth, and DTC teams to shape top- and mid-funnel strategies, paid media priorities, and creative inputs that drive measurable results.
- Contribute to performance marketing creative strategy, ensuring assets are optimized for channel, audience, and objective.
- Implement and brief local (non-global) campaigns, including channel launches and retailer-specific initiatives.
-
Performance, Analytics & Commercial Rigor
- Own marketing performance tracking and deliver weekly and monthly executive readouts on media, sales, and campaign results.
-
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
- Serve as a central connector across Sales, Brand, Media, Digital, PR, Influencer, Creative, and Education teams.
- Share regional plans, learnings, and performance with Global and ANZ partners.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in brand, digital, or omnichannel marketing within beauty, consumer goods, or a similarly fast-paced category.
- Proven experience owning marketing performance, and results, with strong financial and analytical acumen.
- Deep understanding of digital commerce and performance marketing, including paid media, conversion, and optimization.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a high bar for accuracy, clarity, and executional excellence.
- Strong strategic thinking paired with the ability to execute and deliver in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Confidence using data to challenge assumptions, make trade-offs, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with global teams and adapting global strategies for regional success.
- Passion for building brands that earn trust through science, transparency, and results.
