Job Description
JR286 is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to join our team. Responsible for two of the company’s Strategic Partners in alignment with Nike, Inc. Owns creating and driving a strategically focused account plan that collaborates with and engages the retail partner with all key internal stakeholders at JR286. Be the voice of NA Sales with PLM’s to evolve the Channel/Account Merchandising Strategy that creates differentiation in the marketplace. Leads the marketplace with consumer right assortments that drives retailer profitability and comprehensive, focused Go To Market plans in support of the Nike + NikeSKIMS seasonal strategies.
What You’ll Do:
- Proactively leads internal and external relationship building that facilitates collaborative strategic account planning while integrating and driving seasonal brand initiatives with a strategic wholesale partner (s).
- Oversee and be the voice of your strategic account with the PLM’s driving the evolution of seasonal assortments by communicating, integrating and influencing using fact based sales metrics.
- Collaborate with PLM’s to create Strategic Account Assortment Plans that align with channel consumer insights and create differentiation in the marketplace.
- Owner of all business issues and executions for the Strategic Partners.
- Collaborate with Nike Account Director to create and drive a 3 Year Strategic Account Plan that will require internal, brand, and customer collaboration.
- Collaborate and lead the relationship with JR Customer Service, build strong working relationship to best service Strategic Accounts.
- Attend JR286 GTM meetings, engage, participate, learn and strengthen relationships with teammates.
- Lead preparation for and execution of all seasonal Preview meetings.
- Attend Seasonal Nike GTM meetings, drive inclusion and integration into KAPM’s and other account mtgs.
- Lead preparation for and execution of all Seasonal Customer Sell In’s, including seasonal forecasting alignment and long range planning
- Build relationships within Nike Sales, Category and Account management matrix, manage up, down and cross functionally
- Build relationships within account buying matrix, manage up, down and cross functionally.
- Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly Sales, Margin, Turn, Sell thru analysis / sales trends, market share analysis and competitive SWOT analysis.
- Collaborate with Retailer seasonally on Vendor Plans to execute on forecasting accuracy.
- Execute auto replenishment accuracy at 90-100%.
- Facilitate and manage seasonal SMU process.
- Lead alignment between Nike Sales and JR286 by setting up meetings/conference calls with Nike Counterparts, & Sales Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
What to Bring:
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-8 years of selling experience or an equivalent relationship with Key Strategic National Account (s) recommended.
- Intelligent, high integrity, high energy, motivated, proactive, career oriented individual with a strong work ethic that will manage the brand within a competitive market place.
- Ability to clearly articulate Brand Vision and lead Strategic Account Partnership alignment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of retail trade channels (retail acumen, competitive landscape, trends, business models etc.)
- Exceptional personal, professional selling skills & advanced computer skills. (Excel, Power Point, Adobe Illustrator a plus)
Nice to Have:
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among many different people & functions.
- Experience in the Sporting Goods Industry or Equivilent
- Experience with Amazon
- Experience with the Nike Brand
- Located in Portland, Los Angeles or New York
Additionally:
- Travel required – 40%
