Job Description

Shipping & handling responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the API insurance product, ensuring alignment with broader product and business priorities.
  • Define, track, and analyze insurance and claims metrics and KPIs to measure performance and inform ongoing improvements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and third-party partners, serving as the primary point of coordination.
  • Manage the insurance API connector and associated documentation, ensuring clarity, reliability, and ease of integration.
  • Partner with the GTM team to support the positioning and sale of the API insurance offering.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on insurance product launches and feature updates, providing product context and input as needed.
  • Work closely with Customer Support to understand customer sentiment and incorporate feedback into product improvements.
  • Set and maintain the pricing strategy to determine appropriate pricing for the insurance offering.
  • Oversee the end-to-end claims experience, ensuring a consistent and reliable experience for customers.


Your shipping requirements

  • Experience building and managing embedded or API-based insurance products, with a strong understanding of insurance offerings and claims workflows
  • Ability to define, track, and analyze insurance and claims KPIs to inform prioritization and continuous improvement
  • Experience working on API-driven products, including managing integrations and maintaining clear, high-quality developer documentation
  • Proven ability to partner with Go-To-Market, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to support product positioning, launches, and customer experience improvements
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with insurance third-party partners, serving as a primary point of coordination
  • Demonstrated experience setting and maintaining pricing strategies for B2B or API-based products, balancing customer value and business objectives
  • Ability to oversee the end-to-end claims experience, ensuring consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Experience operating in a high-growth environment with evolving priorities and processes
  • Eight or more years of total professional experience in product, platform, or adjacent roles

Compensation

Our Compensation Shippolicy:

We believe compensation is a custom experience and are commited to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base pay range for this role is min is $210k to a max $284k annual salary. Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.

The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: financial budgets, work experience, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market value. The base pay salary ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future. Total compensation for this role will include, equity, medical, dental, vision and other benefits noted in our Shippos “package” section.

Shippos in the wild:

Our people, much like the packages we help ship, are all over the world. Job Requirements
