Role Description
We are currently looking for a Controller - REMOTE. As a Controller, you will own and guide all global accounting activities and financial reporting, serving as the financial backbone of a growing company. Your role will ensure the integrity of financial operations while collaborating closely with leadership and stakeholders. Accountabilities
- Own the monthly close process, including general ledger review and financial statement preparation.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
- Design and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Manage local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Partner closely with FP&A to analyze budget vs. actual variances.
- Manage relationships with external accounting firms and tax advisors.
- Provide proactive insights into financial performance for stakeholders.
- Continuously enhance the month-end close and reporting procedures.
Qualifications
- CPA with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Big 4 public accounting and high-growth startups.
- Strong background in international technology companies, particularly SaaS/software.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Proficient in accounting systems and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-scaling remote environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
