About the Role

In this role, you will be at the intersection of clinical science, real world evidence, and market access, helping to demonstrate the value of MiniMed’s diabetes portfolio to payers, policymakers, and healthcare stakeholders worldwide. You will collaborate cross functionally with clinical development, market access, and global HEPR teams to design and communicate robust evidence strategies that inform reimbursement, coverage, and strategic decision making. This is an opportunity for a scientifically curious, analytically strong professional to influence how life changing diabetes technologies are evaluated, adopted, and sustained across diverse healthcare systems.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Providing input on clinical trial design and Real-World Evidence (RWE) generation and communication.

  • Works closely with Market Access team to support the development of evidence that will improve the understanding of diabetes treatment and the value of MiniMed’s diabetes device profile. The data generated should inform strategic internal decisions as well.

  • Develops HTA submission documents to meet requirements for optimal reimbursement, coverage, and utilization. Collaborates closely with regional Health Economics, Policy and Reimbursement (HEPR) teams to identify region specific evidence needs and synergies.

  • Supports the design and implementation of observational and economic research studies or economic models including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility and budget impact models. These materials should provide value, perspective and evidence for clinical and/or pre-clinical product portfolio decisions, marketing, regulatory agency submissions (HTA), and product reimbursement strategies.

  • Conduct both systematic and targeted literature searches that will be foundational to the development of value dossiers suitable for HTA submissions.

  • Compares and evaluates the value of MiniMed’s products and therapies versus other products in the market basket with respect to the clinical, economic, and outcomes data from clinical trials and Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies including, epidemiology studies, registries, observational studies, payer pilots, cost-effectiveness modeling, surveys, and meta-analyses.

  • Collaborates with the Clinical Development team to ensure that an integrated evidence plan including RWE is available to support country approval and reimbursement.

  • Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the evidence needed to inform government agencies to secure reimbursement.

  • Prepares observational and economic research study results for dissemination via abstracts, presentations, and/or peer-reviewed publications.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry Or Master’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry

Nice To Have

  • Degree in PharmD, Master’s degree, or PhD in epidemiology, health economics, biostatistics, public health

  • Experience in systematic and targeted literature searches for value dossiers suitable for HTA submissions

  • Experience securing reimbursement for devices and/or pharmaceuticals

  • Ability to collaborate closely with MiniMed HEPR experts globally

  • Proven relationship-building and maintenance with stakeholders including physicians, payers

  • Ability to communicate complex analytical techniques in a way that is understandable by non quantitative audiences

  • Experience working with administrative claims data

  • Proficiency programming using statistical software (e.g. SAS, R, etc.)

  • Strong quantitative skills, preferably with training in econometrics or statistics

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$136,800.00 - $205,200.00


 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
