Role Overview:
We are seeking a remote Human Resources Generalist to support day‑to‑day HR operations, benefits administration, and Service Contract Act (SCA) compliance for a growing federal contracting workforce. This remote role supports employees across multiple states and collaborates closely with HR, Operations, Payroll, Contracts, and Talent Acquisition.
Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration:
- Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, wellness, fringe benefits) and manage enrollments, billing audits, and vendor issues.
- Track benefits eligibility across employee types (exempt, non-exempt, SCA, etc.), ensuring compliance with internal policies and federal requirements · Support the development of benefits-related communications, including open enrollment guides, FAQs, and policy updates
SCA Contract Compliance:
- Support SCA compliance, including wage determinations, fringe benefit tracking, employee notifications, and coordination with internal teams and third‑party administrators.
- Collaborate with Contracts, HR, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition to implement SCA requirements, including wage updates, employee notifications, and onboarding practices aligned with applicable WDs.
General HR Operations:
- Manage core HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, orientations, performance review support, employee relations, and HR reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across a multi‑state workforce.
- Support audits, HR process improvements, training, and cross‑functional HR initiatives.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years benefits administration experience.
- 1+ year supporting SCA wage determinations or fringe benefits.
- 1+ year HR Generalist experience.
- 1+ year HR experience in a government contracting environment.
- Strong communication, organization, problem‑solving skills, and HRIS proficiency.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multi‑state employment requirements.
- Ability to travel 2–3 times per year.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Successful completion of background screening and compliance training.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (citizenship may be required for certain contracts).
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Experience supporting distributed, remote, and multi‑state workforces.
- Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with HR technology and benefits administration systems.
- SHRM‑CP, PHR, CEBS, or similar certification.
- Candidates in the Washington, DC–Maryland–Virginia (DMV) region are preferred for occasional in‑person meetings.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
