Job Description

Head of Brand Marketing

Location: Remote

Reports to: CMO

About Native Pet

At Native Pet, we’re redefining what better nutrition looks like for dogs. We make high-quality, vet-developed supplements made with clean, effective ingredients that help dogs live healthier, happier lives. We’re a fast-growing brand built on transparency, trust, and a deep love for dogs.

As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Head of Brand Marketing to lead the next evolution of the Native Pet brand and help shape one of the most exciting emerging brands in pet wellness.

The Role

We’re looking for a big-thinking brand builder and storyteller who knows how to create brands that people talk about.

The Head of Brand Marketing will steward the full Native Pet brand ecosystem, spanning brand strategy, integrated campaigns, organic social, PR, partnerships, creators, out-of-home, and experiential activations. This leader will play a central role in shaping how Native Pet shows up in culture, translating our mission into compelling storytelling and memorable brand moments that build lasting emotional connections with dog parents.

This role requires someone who can operate at both visionary and executional levels: developing bold brand ideas while leading teams and partners to bring them to life across channels.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of modern brand building, including how to create culturally resonant work that earns attention and drives viral conversation.

What You’ll Do

Define and Lead the Brand Vision

Own and evolve the overarching brand strategy for Native Pet as the company scales. You’ll shape our positioning, narrative, and brand voice, ensuring clarity and consistency across every consumer touchpoint. Partnering closely with leadership, you’ll translate business priorities into a compelling brand platform that builds long-term brand equity and differentiation in the pet wellness space.

Create Big Ideas That Drive Culture and Conversation

Lead the development of bold, integrated campaigns and brand moments that break through the noise. You’ll champion big creative ideas that travel across social, PR, creators, partnerships, out-of-home, and experiential activations, creating work that drives awareness, engagement, and cultural relevance.

You bring a strong instinct for what makes content shareable, buzzworthy, and culturally resonant, and understand how to design campaigns that generate viral momentum and organic conversation. Just as importantly, you’re scrappy and resourceful, able to turn smart insights, timely moments, and creative storytelling into outsized brand impact without relying on large budgets.

Build Community Through Creators, Partnerships & Social

Oversee the ecosystem of creators, influencers, brand collaborations, and organic social channels that amplify the Native Pet story. You’ll cultivate authentic partnerships with creators, tastemakers, and aligned brands that expand reach and deepen engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of how modern brands grow through community, creator ecosystems, and culturally relevant content.

Bring the Brand to Life Through Experiences and Activations

Concept and lead events, partnerships, and experiential activations that translate the Native Pet brand into memorable real-world moments. From community-driven gatherings to cultural collaborations and creator-led experiences, you’ll design activations that generate excitement, earned media, and highly shareable content.

You’re equally comfortable dreaming up big brand moments and executing them in scrappy, creative ways, finding opportunities to create memorable experiences and content without relying on large production budgets. You know how to turn activations into content engines that extend far beyond the event itself.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10–12+ years of experience in brand marketing, ideally within high-growth consumer brands
  • Proven ability to lead integrated brand campaigns and storytelling
  • Experience building culturally relevant brands through creators, partnerships, PR, and social
  • Strong leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong creative instincts and taste, with an intuitive understanding of what makes brands culturally relevant and shareable

You Might Be a Great Fit If

  • You naturally think in big ideas and brand moments, not just marketing channels
  • You have strong instincts for what makes people stop scrolling, share content, and talk about brands
  • You thrive in scrappy, entrepreneurial environments
  • You enjoy turning cultural insights, creator relationships, and partnerships into brand momentum
  • You care deeply about building brands that people genuinely love and advocate for

Why Join Native Pet

  • Competitive salary with opportunity for equity and performance bonus
  • Opportunity to help build a category-defining brand in one of the fastest-growing segments of pet wellness
  • Collaborative, empathetic team that values creativity, ambition, and balance
  • Flexible remote work and open vacation policy designed to support rest and sustainability
  • St. Louis office located at the newly renovated City Foundry campus
  • Dogs and cats welcome in the office (obviously)
