Job Description
Lead coder with 3 + years in both inpatient DRG coding and facility Observation coding for an academic trauma level 1 facility to review accounts that have a status change from IP to OBS or OBS to IP post coding and apply necessary coding changes. The role will also assist in escalating DNFB accounts to completion, clearing some billing edits, and working some denials both for inpatient and outpatient cases. Cerner and 3M experience required. Must be familiar with Excel. Schedule is 8 hours M-F, preferably between 8a and 5p MST, which if the client's regular business hours. Shift time can be flexible within reason if necessary.
