Role Description
We are seeking experienced Design Critics to help evaluate, critique, and shape how AI systems interpret and analyze visual design across mediums. This role is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in visual arts, art history, design criticism, visual journalism, or theory-forward design practice who are excited about interrogating aesthetics, composition, and visual reasoning.
You are a good fit if you:
- Have 1+ years of professional experience in a visual, critique-based, or design-adjacent field (including design marketing or journalism).

Have a bachelor's or master’s degree in any design field, including but not limited to:
- Art History
- Visual Arts
- Graphic Design
- Design Theory
- Architecture
- Visual Culture Studies
- Film & Media Studies
- Illustration
- Editorial Design
- Journalism (with a visual or arts focus)
- Exposure working with LLMs, GenAI prompting, and vibe coding.
- Have experience writing or speaking critically about visual work (e.g., reviews, essays, critiques, studio feedback, editorial analysis, academic writing, design commentary).
- Are currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Europe, Australia, or Brazil.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong attention to details.
Role Start Date: This role will begin in early March with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
