Role Description
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for graduate-level trainees and early-career professionals with direct experience supporting children or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role supports work involving structured ASD-related support, observation, documentation, and intervention-aligned collaboration across clinical, educational, therapeutic, or family support settings. Selected professionals will help support ASD-related programs through structured feedback, implementation support, evidence-based strategies, and collaboration with supervisors, therapists, or multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities

ASD Support & Implementation
- Support children or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder in structured clinical, educational, or home-based settings, depending on project scope.
- Assist in implementing individualised plans such as IEPs, therapy plans, or behaviour intervention plans.
- Apply evidence-based strategies for ASD-related support and intervention.

Observation & Documentation
- Document observations clearly and accurately.
- Provide structured feedback based on direct support experience.
- Contribute to organised, high-quality reporting aligned with project requirements.

Collaboration & Family Support
- Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, or multidisciplinary teams.
- Support families with structured communication and guidance where applicable.
- Work effectively within coordinated care, support, or educational environments.
Qualifications
- Direct experience working with children or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Exposure to behavioural, developmental, or therapeutic interventions.
- Familiarity with IEPs, behaviour plans, or structured developmental goals.
- Graduate-level training or early-career experience in a relevant clinical, behavioural, therapeutic, or educational field.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with supervision as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Speech-Language Pathology graduate student experience with ASD-related clinical exposure.
- Occupational Therapy graduate student experience with autism-focused pediatric fieldwork.
- School Psychology graduate student experience supporting ASD evaluations or IEP development.
- Master of Social Work student experience focused on pediatrics, disability services, or family support for children with ASD.
- BCaBA certification or training.
- Registered Behavior Technician experience, including advanced RBT experience or active pursuit of BCaBA certification.
- Equivalent degrees, certifications, or supervised training in related developmental or behavioural fields.
- Experience in pediatric or early childhood settings.
- Familiarity with ABA principles.
- Experience working with families of children with ASD.
