Expected pay for this position is $23.35 - $27.48/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.


Overview

WORK FROM HOME POSITION NEAR OSF LOCATION- ILLINOIS CANDIDATES ONLY

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Enrollment Specialist initiates enrollment and revalidation process for employed providers. Remains current in regulatory matters relevant to the credentialing process. Tracks all enrollment submissions and follows up timely to ensure providers are enrolled with the payers prior to their start date. Responsible for the overall supervision/coordination of the enrollment function.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

 

Experience: 2 years of work experience in a healthcare, delegated credentialing office or Credentialing Verification Office.

 

Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, health care administration or health care related field.

 

License/Certifications: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or willing to obtain certification within 3 years of employment.

 

Other skills/knowledge: Written and oral communication skills necessary in order to act as department liaison external and internal customers. Analytical skills to be able to collect, analyze and interpret data; prepared summaries and reports; maintain files and interpret regulatory requirements. Organizational skills in order to manage multiple tasks and perform work at a high level of accuracy and timeliness. Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and other regulatory agencies (CMS, IDPH) related to medical staff credentialing and privileging. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of credentialing software. Knowledge of medical terminology.
