Job Description
JOB DUTIES: Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and business leaders to identify performance requirements and goals for software systems. Analyze existing software systems to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Develop performance testing plans and execute tests to identify performance issues and measure system performance under different conditions. Work with software engineering teams to incorporate performance testing and optimization into the software development lifecycle. Monitor Production systems to identify and diagnose performance issues and implement corrective actions. Evaluate third-party performance tools and services and make recommendation for their use. May telecommute from any home office in the U.S.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in Performance Engineering. 5 years of experience to include: Professional software performance testing and profiling experience; Identifying requirements, creating performance test scripts, evaluating performance test results, identifying performance bottlenecks and providing performance tweak recommendations; Utilizing tools for load generation, profiling, heap dump analysis, and system performance monitoring; and Utilizing Databases, object-oriented programming language and techniques.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Company’s Bonus plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. The Company maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect the Company’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$130,250 - $202,800
Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
