Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to lead and support a growing tax practice focused on complex business and high-net-worth client work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, client interaction, and mentoring staff in a small, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for partnerships, S-corps, corporations, and HNW individuals
- Review returns prepared by seniors and contract staff
- Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
- Perform tax research and provide planning support
- Handle clients with foreign income and multi-entity structures
- Serve as a primary technical resource for the team
- Assist with workflow management during busy season
- Provide mentoring and guidance to staff
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience with business and individual returns
- Prior review and supervisory experience
- Solid technical and research skills
- Strong communication and client service skills
Requirements
- Remote, hybrid, or in-office options in Denver
- Typical in-office expectation: 3 days per week (if hybrid)
- Busy season averages 50–60 hours per week
- Small-firm environment with direct access to leadership
