Role Description
We are seeking a Platform Architect to be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge platform solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the architecture aligns with the business objectives and technical requirements. As the Platform Architect, you will leverage modern technologies to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems for a key program with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable platform architectures aligned with VA modernization initiatives and federal cloud adoption frameworks.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities.
- Ensure security, performance, and reliability of platform components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software architecture and development.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms specifically VA Enterprise Cloud (AWS GovCloud + Azure Gov).
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
