The Sr Sales Engineer takes the technical lead in the pre-sales process and works with sales account managers to sell Fixed Industrial Scanners and Machine Vision systems for assigned partners, end-user account(s) or territory. Develops and executes sales strategy with account Manager for assigned account(s) or territory with manager's input; develops strong technical relationships with key customer contacts and leverages to Zebra's advantage; creates and delivers high impact sales presentations and product training. Develops and executes sales strategies for machine vision products, services and solutions with minimal input from manager. As required, leverages relationships with other business units and/or external partners to deliver solution; Develops strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers; Initiates and leads customer presentations and value proposition creation.
This remote role must be based near/around Chicago (IL) or Minneapolis (MN), within a reasonable driving distance to a major airport. 50% travel to be expected.

- 5 + years of experience in a related technical role (Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solution Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Field Application Engineer) experience with Machine Vision-related products
- This remote role must be based near/around Chicago (IL) or Minneapolis (MN), within a reasonable driving distance to a major airport. 50% travel to be expected.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with customers in the Manufacturing vertical a plus
- Sales experience and/or the ability to identify sales opportunities a strong differentiator
