Role Description
Managers who have responsibility across multiple job families (eg. Quality Assurance & Quality Control). Have direct reports (or dotted line reports). Should be used for regional or product line scope.
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
- Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.
- Design and develop the operating system to support our quality performance priorities and strategy, including Sourcing Quality MORs, WORs, and support of Daily Management.
- Drive problem solving for Sourcing quality KPI gaps across the enterprise.
- Drive strategic breakthrough with Zero Defect transformation in partnership with the Part Family Quality Leaders.
- Serve as a coach, facilitator, educator, advocate, and accountability partner to the cross-functional quality team to drive to standards resulting in effective and efficient problem solving of quality disruptions and manufacturing defects.
- Coach the Sourcing quality team to FLIGHT DECK standards to advance our problem-solving skills.
- Partner closely with other divisions/functions to prioritize and improve critical processes across Aerospace.
- Share best practices across Quality.
- Manage and drive kaizen processes to enable continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or large-scale project/program management.
- Models the GE Behaviors (Humility, Transparency, Focus): this is mission-critical for all GE executives as an enabler for continuous improvement.

- Knowledge of and experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of quality processes, systems, and impact to business results and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability of solving complex problems through the application of Lean.
- Hands-on experience driving process improvement in a leadership role.

- Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a senior leader perspective.
- Able to influence others. Highly credible.
- Collaborative, team orientation – knows when to lead and when to follow.
- Customer focused and demonstrated a high sense of urgency.
- Impactful communicator from the shop floor to the senior leadership levels.
