Job Description

• Develop Valued Capabilities : Improving selling capabilities and adding customer value through improved analytics and insights, and continuous improvement. • Assist Circana with strategic tool and report development, and provide leadership reporting as needed (i.e. topline channel report). • With Insights Manager, identify, action against and share category driving insights and thought leadership, including providing feedback and direction to Circana team on thought leadership and analyses. • Contribute to and deliver ideas and content for yearly planning and quarterly category calls with the Sales team. • Category Insights and DGIC Performance : Achieve performance objectives by developing and enabling category insights to drive growth at key category captain and advisor accounts. • Enable big picture category leadership insights and stories for the total ice cream category including key 4P category and DGIC strategies. • Enable the development of key business strategies through data and storytelling. • Drive a deep understanding of brand and competitive performance vs. Brand Objectives, Growth Drivers, Category Roadmap Strategies, Activation Tactics, etc. • Key lead in integrating and developing advanced data applications such as Thoughtspot, R, Circana (IRI) Unify, MS Excel, and JD Edwards ERP system into DGIC’s everyday business and yearly commercial plan. • Distribution and TDP Expansion : Develop tools and strategies for total DGIC to grow base and new item distribution. • Build, maintain, and drive adoption of key distribution building tools (i.e. void and reach, category deflators) and key strategies to build distribution (Commercial plan and Ad hoc insights). • Develop new data-based tools (if appropriate) to drive adoption of distribution accelerators by total DGIC sales team. • Integrated Approach : Data and Insights resource for cross-functional teams during ongoing business operations, yearly planning, and ad hoc business needs. • Drive Quality : Become a quality agent by continuously checking our products in various stores and location. Provide feedback and challenge as necessary to help the organization understand the retail experience.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in a sales planning, sales operations or sales reporting role, and/or category management sales roles in CPG industry.
  • History in data management (IRI, Nielsen, ThoughtSpot, PowerBI, and other data sources) and insight building.
  • Proven ability to develop sound insights and strategies across multiple data points.
  • Commercial experience, high developed collaboration and influencing skills, self-starter, results driven, entrepreneurial.
  • Knowledge of customer best practices, market intelligence, category/channel/ shopper trends and shopper Insight into actionable ideas.
