Overview
The Senior Coordinator, Spanish-Language Content Marketing is responsible for helping position Major League Soccer as the most engaging and innovative sports brand within the Hispanic audience. This position will help implement the Spanish-language digital content strategy that spans across MLS social media, editorial, marketing, partnerships, events and communication teams. The Sr. Coordinator will help manage the process in which MLS related content will be published and shared in the own MLS Español channels as well as formal digital partners. This role will be key in helping grow the MLS fan base - from the MLS Club level to the league level - and supporting all elements of the MLS ecosystem, including our partnership with Apple TV.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, create and post content for MLS Español social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, X, YouTube and Facebook -- on weekdays, evenings and weekends (game, big event, and desk coverage required).
- Manage and work closely with MLS Español Editorial and Content team of collaborators as well as MLS Social team.
- Collaborate on the content calendar and day-to-day publishing of social content in our voice.
- Provide and manage live match coverage on weeknights and weekends.
- Coordinate direct communication with social & digital leads for all MLS clubs.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally on standard processes for club social content.
- Manage and implement programming around key events including but not limited to MLS All-Star, Decision Day, and MLS Cup, while working cross-departmentally to ensure all organizational and objectives are met.
- Collaborate across the enterprise on strategies that leverage players, partners, influencers, and/or celebrities to achieve enterprise-wide metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3+ years of experience in Social Media, Marketing, or Communications required
Required Skills
- Innovating attitude and creative spirit.
- Native Spanish language proficiency required.
- Ability and willingness to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior corporate experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram and YouTube.
- Prior experience managing team or league handles for soccer and/or sports team.
- Knowledge of soccer, MLS clubs, the U.S. Men's National Team, Canada and Mexico Men's National Team, and International soccer, with a focus on South and Central American.
- Passion for and experience in social media marketing, with strong understanding of trends and best
- practices.
- Passionate about providing fans with a great digital experience by listening, interacting and producing innovative content Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail.
- High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Creative Suite (or other video and photo editing platforms).
- Ability and willingness to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Skills
- Video editing for social platforms a plus.
- Proficiency in graphic design and photoshop, video editing (Capcut, Premiere Pro)

Major League Soccer offers a competitive starting base salary of $66,500 - $70,000, based on individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
