Job Description:
Job Purpose: We are seeking a Consolidation Planner to join a high-performing, business-critical team in RJW's Logistics department. This role is responsible for the successful planning of our customers' orders to meet and exceed both customer and major retailer standards. Our Retail Consolidation team sits at the center of all planning and decision-making at the order and load level. Our team utilizes technology every day to enable the best possible service outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Consolidation Schedulers are responsible for setting appointments for our most critical, complex shipments. This role has ownership over balancing outbound volume from RJW cross docks, schedules inbound shipments from our full-size warehouses to our cross docks and appoints complex final mile LTL. Consolidation Schedulers will collaborate closely with RJW Account Managers, IT teams, Warehouse teams, and Carrier teams. Professional communication always is a must. Consistently meet or exceed KPIs for appointment tasks assigned.
Problem-Solve:
- Identify gaps in our existing processes and systems and work to develop and implement solutions.
- Provide feedback to your manager often; know when to escalate issues and/or feedback.
- Present your decision-making processes around shipments, etc. to a manager-level audience.
- Take full ownership of all high-complexity scheduling activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Completed bachelor's degree is strongly preferred for this role - we welcome recent college graduates to apply regardless of area of study.

- Must be available to work on occasion in-office in Lockport, IL or Romeoville, IL when requested in advance (1-week notice)

Qualifications
- Strongly preferred: Completed Bachelor's degree
- Required: Reliable transportation to and from Joliet/Romeoville, IL
- Physical Requirements & Work Environment: This is a HYBRID-based opportunity. Applicants should be effective in both remote and onsite environments. Prolonged sitting/desk work. Use of hands for computer tasks. Ability to stand or walk for short periods. Good vision and hearing.
