Jama Software® is focused on maximizing innovation success in multidisciplinary engineering organizations. Numerous firsts for humanity in fields such as fuel cells, electrification, space, software-defined vehicles, surgical robotics, and more all rely on Jama Connect® requirements management software to minimize the risk of defects, rework, cost overruns, and recalls. Using Jama Connect, engineering organizations can now intelligently manage the development process by leveraging Live Traceability™ across best-of-breed tools to measurably improve outcomes. Additionally, customers have access to cutting edge AI functionality to modernize their requirements workflows and processes. Our rapidly growing customer base spans the automotive, medical device, life sciences, semiconductor, aerospace & defense, industrial manufacturing, consumer electronics, financial services, and insurance industries.
The Senior Outbound Product Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion through deep commercial insight and go-to-market expertise. This role owns the product roadmap for a critical area of Jama Software's portfolio, working at the intersection of product, sales, and customer success to identify and prioritize product investments that maximize revenue outcomes and competitive differentiation.
This role requires deep outbound product management expertise. As our Product organization strengthens its outbound capabilities, you will bring proven go-to-market expertise to translate market opportunities and customer use cases into strategic product initiatives—while sharing outbound best practices that elevate the entire team's commercial effectiveness.
We're seeking someone with hands-on experience using AI-native ways of working in product development, such as using AI for research synthesis, prototyping, experimentation, writing, analysis, and faster decision-making.
What You'll Do:
Commercial Strategy & Business Impact
- Own the product roadmap for a core product area, ensuring alignment with revenue goals, expansion opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Partner closely with GTM teams, Engineering, Customer Success, and product leadership to ensure our roadmap is optimized for sales effectiveness, customer expansion, and market share growth.
- Build compelling justifications for product investments, quantifying revenue impact, market demand, and strategic alignment.
Customer Engagement & Go-to-Market Execution
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to identify revenue-accelerating opportunities and prioritize initiatives that address sales blockers and expansion friction.
- Participate selectively in late-stage deals to unblock adoption, clarify roadmap direction, and capture evidence of what would close or save deals.
- Contribute to customer advisory boards and design partner programs to validate product direction and de-risk major investments.
Outbound Excellence & Knowledge Sharing
- Bring proven outbound product methodologies and best practices to strengthen the Product team's commercial orientation.
- Share expertise on go-to-market tactics, revenue optimization strategies, and sales-driven prioritization approaches.
- Model effective GTM collaboration and mentor other product managers on commercial strategy and competitive positioning.
AI-Native Experience
-
Leverage AI-native ways of working in product development, including using AI for research synthesis, prototyping, experimentation, writing, analysis, and faster decision-making.
Product Development & Roadmap Execution
-
Partner closely with Product Design and Engineering to define and prioritize the feature roadmap, evaluating new capabilities and making strategic trade-off decisions based on commercial insights, customer needs, and business impact.
What You'll Bring:
- 7+ years in product management with at least one year working as an AI-native product manager.
- Demonstrated success as a Senior Product Manager in B2B SaaS, with direct experience partnering with enterprise customers to uncover needs and translate complex problems into product decisions.
- Deep expertise in outbound product practices including win/loss analysis, competitive positioning, and sales-driven product planning.
- Strong customer-facing presence with ability to build trust with enterprise stakeholders, lead discovery conversations, and represent product credibly with both users and executives.
- Strong learning agility and intellectual curiosity—with the ability to pick up new tools, technologies, and domains quickly and adapt as markets evolve.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in enterprise software serving regulated industries, particularly the semiconductor industry.
- Deep understanding of enterprise sales processes, customer buying behavior, and B2B SaaS business models.
- Experience with enterprise B2B platform business models and pricing strategy.
- Background in product marketing, sales operations, revenue operations, or business development.
- MBA or advanced degree in business or related field.
Perks and Benefits:
- Virtual first and culturally diverse work environment spanning 8 countries.
- Ambitious and fun work with a chance to define distinct, company-shaping tangible contributions.
- Flexible time off and leave programs crafted to meet the needs for your rejuvenation and extra support to cope with life events with a quarterly $75 wellness reimbursement.
- Comprehensive and affordable medical, dental and vision plans with pre-tax savings accounts and a generous 401(k) employer match.
- 6+ weeks of paid parental leave to bond with your new family member.
- Emphasis on learning and development at all levels with a subscription to LinkedIn Learning.
