Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization (CNV) to support a high-impact DoD environment. This role will focus on designing, deploying, and optimizing containerized and virtualized workloads within OpenShift, helping modernize infrastructure and improve operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge Kubernetes and virtualization technologies in a mission-driven environment. This is a fully remote engagement, approximately 888 hours with potential for extension.

• Design, implement, and manage Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization (CNV) environments
• Migrate and integrate traditional VM-based workloads into OpenShift container platforms
• Deploy and maintain OpenShift clusters in secure, enterprise environments
• Support virtual machine lifecycle management within OpenShift
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to optimize platform performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across container and virtualization layers
• Ensure compliance with DoD security standards and policies
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for OpenShift virtualization adoption

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Must meet DoDD 8570 compliance requirements (e.g., Security+, CISSP, etc.)
• Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift, specifically OpenShift Virtualization (CNV)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware, or similar)
• Knowledge of Linux systems administration
• Experience working in DoD or federal environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, GitOps, etc.)
• Prior experience supporting cloud or hybrid environments
