Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Consulting Services to lead and grow a high-performing consulting team supporting our Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) customers in the small and mid-market segments.

In this role, you will lead a team of consultants responsible for delivering successful software implementations while driving the operational and financial performance of your consulting organization. You will help translate our consulting services vision into execution, developing team talent, improving delivery processes, and ensuring strong performance across key services metrics such as utilization, realization, revenue, margins, and customer satisfaction.

This leader plays an important role in shaping how our consulting organization scales to support the AEC market. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Professional Services to deliver predictable implementations, strong customer outcomes, and high-quality customer experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Hire, develop, and lead a consulting team of approximately 5+ consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on customer outcomes and delivery excellence
  • Drive team performance against key services metrics (e.g., utilization, realization, backlog, revenue, margins, and CSAT)
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality implementations that deliver measurable customer value and strong adoption of Unanet solutions
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for small and mid-market AEC engagements, helping resolve delivery challenges and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Oversee scoping, estimating, and staffing for consulting engagements, ensuring the right resources are assigned and projects aligned with team capacity and business goals
  • Manage the governance and delivery of custom consulting work, ensuring consistent customer experience and strong margin discipline
  • Support both fixed-fee and time-and-materials (T&M) engagement models while maintaining predictable delivery performance
  • Continuously improve consulting delivery processes to reduce time-to-value (TTV), improve customer satisfaction, and increase delivery efficiency
  • Partner with leadership to define and track implementation quality metrics and KPIs
  • Stay current on industry trends in the AEC market, sharing insights and best practices that help keep the team remain informed and effective
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to ensure seamless transitions from sales through implementation and long-term customer adoption

Your First 90 Days

In your first 30 days, you’ll focus on learning our business, building relationships, and gaining a deep understanding of how our consulting teams support our AEC customers. You’ll meet key stakeholders across Professional Services, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Operations while getting to know your team and current engagements. You’ll familiarize yourself with our delivery model, consulting processes, and key services performance metrics.

By day 60, you’ll begin actively managing team performance and overseeing consulting engagements across the SMB AEC segment. You’ll start identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes, team utilization, and implementation efficiency. You’ll also partner with leadership to ensure engagements are appropriately scoped and staffed to meet both customer and business goals.

By day 90, you’ll be fully integrated into the leadership team and driving improvements across consulting delivery. You’ll be coaching your team toward stronger outcomes, refining delivery processes that improve customer satisfaction and operational performance, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our consulting services strategy supporting the AEC market.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience leading B2B software consulting/professional services teams
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing consulting or delivery teams
  • Strong understanding of Professional Services performance metrics including utilization, realization, margins, backlog, and time-to-value (TTV)
  • Experience managing software implementation projects and consulting engagements in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Experience working within fixed-fee and time-and-materials (T&M) consulting models
  • Experience helping scale consulting teams or services delivery in a growing SaaS organization, including through process improvement, delivery frameworks, or automation
  • Experience with resource planning and consulting capacity management
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and operational leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related (or equivalent experience)

 Your Differentiators

  • Experience supporting Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) firms or other project-based industries
  • Background in Finance & Accounting systems, CRM platforms, or project-based ERP solutions
  • Experience leading consulting organizations serving small and mid-market customers
