Job Description

Bright Horizons College Coach has been assisting families in achieving their education goals for more than 20 years. With a strong service mission, commitment to excellence, and focus on ethical guidance, we work with tens of thousands of families who receive our services for free through their employer-sponsored benefit and hundreds more via our more traditional independent consulting service. In both cases, we interact directly with students and parents in person, over the phone, and via video conference.

Primary Purpose

As a Senior Manager of Educational Counseling, you will guide our clients through the college admissions process, helping students present and maximize their unique strengths, accomplishments, and potential in a student-focused and ethical way. As we grow in 2026, we continue to prioritize the diversification of our team, a goal that comes from our Bright Horizons leaders who have been vocal supporters of social justice and equity movements. At the heart of Bright Horizons College Coach is a phenomenal group of knowledgeable, hardworking, team-oriented educators with experience at a wide range of undergraduate institutions. Our team is made up of former admissions and financial aid officers who are dedicated to supporting every kind of student as they consider their best educational path beyond high school. Flexibility plays a key role at Bright Horizons College Coach, not just in our interactions with our clients and one another, but in the way we do our jobs on a day-to-day basis. We work remotely, yet we also share a deep sense of community and camaraderie. We engage with one another on a daily basis and are a tight-knit crew that loves to laugh together as much as we love to work together. If you enjoy the independence of remote work and the human connection of being in an office, we think you’ll appreciate the balance we strike.

  • Participate in occasional work travel including our annual, in-person team meeting

Decision Making Authority

  • Position requires interactions with clients as a representative of College Coach. Daily decisions regarding these interactions can have an impact on our success with each client and direct impact on College Coach revenue. Key decision-making opportunities lie in the development and implementation of individualized education counseling plans as well as within the role of supporting projects on the team. Presentations on behalf of College Coach impact our reputation and potential future business opportunities.
