WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:
The American Red Cross seeks an experienced Senior-Level Mulesoft Developer to join our Humanitarian Services IT team in supporting applications that enable mission delivery for Red Cross Humanitarian Services to support disaster response and relief, service to the armed forces and their families, and our international mission. We work directly with our mission partners on the discovery, design, development, and ongoing enhancement of our digital product portfolio. We are striving towards an API-first model for our mission applications to enable agility, scale, improved client, and workforce experience, and enabling mission outcomes.
The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States. Occasional travel for mission support and training. (Core Working Hours 9:00am-5:00pm Eastern)
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
• Collaborate with product and data teams as well as business stakeholders to design, build, customize and support MuleSoft APIs and Integration Solutions for Humanitarian applications.
• Troubleshoot integration support issues; perform root cause analysis; document environments; and develop effective solutions to problems
• Architect, deliver and support complex hybrid Integration solutions involving ESRI’s ArcGIS, SQL databases, Salesforce, and various other peripheral systems including but not limited to on-premise, SaaS, Cloud-based applications as well as third-party partners who share data with the American Red Cross
• Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the current Humanitarian Services integration environment (e.g. point-to-point), and develop and implement mitigation measures.
• Translates user stories into technical specifications and estimates the level of effort and time to develop
• Work with and mentor offshore teams.
• Continuously learn new technologies, standards, and industry best practices
• Provide mission-critical application support in an on-call rotation

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):
• At least 7 years of IT systems development experience, with a primary focus on Integrations and API management.
• 5+ years of strong Hands-On Integration development and support experience with excellent problem-solving skills in MuleSoft and API Management areas including but not limited to Any point Platform, Flow Design, and API Design. Cloud Hub, Runtime Fabric, API Management.
• Hands-on experience in providing and consuming SOAP web services and REST APIs.
• Experience designing, publishing, and testing RESTful APIs using RAML.
• Experience in securing API endpoints using OAuth and SSO implementation using Ping/Okta.
• Experience in testing APIs (unit/functional/automated)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with Mule Runtime, Mule Platform API, and Mule Gateway tools
• Experience with Azure platform services.
• Experience working with Agile methodology and self-starter who can quickly acclimate to a dynamic environment
• Experience with version control systems (GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket)
• Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum
• Outstanding written/verbal communication skills
• EDUCATION: 4 year degree

Physical Requirements
Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.

PAY INFORMATION:
The annual salary range for this position is $125K - $135K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.
Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
