What we need
The Supplier Follow-Up Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our supplier relationships. This role involves tracking supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery of goods, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining effective communication with our suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
What we do
Our global sourcing, procurement and third-party supplier team develop innovative category management strategies in collaboration with the business. The team focuses on strategic third-party partner agreements and help support supplier relationship management, commercial and financial pricing models for overall supplier performance.
What you’ll do
Supplier Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact between the company and its suppliers post PO award.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to suppliers.
Collaborates closely with the Procurement Director to align supplier follow-up activities with strategic sourcing objectives and ensure seamless communication throughout the supplier relationship management process.
Order Tracking and Coordination:
Monitor and track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery.
Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, and any issues that may arise.
Update internal stakeholders on order progress and expected delivery dates through SAP and Symbotic standard reporting tools (Allocation Reports).
Issue Resolution:
Identify and address any supply chain disruptions or delays.
Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, quality issues, or other concerns.
Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid future issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of supplier communications, orders, and performance metrics.
Prepare and analyze reports on supplier performance and delivery metrics.
Provide recommendations for process improvements based on analysis.
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain or expediting
Previous experience in logistics coordination, preferably with a focus on expediting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office suite.
Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Our Environment
Up to 20% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $87,000.00 - $119,900.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.Job Requirements
