Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.36854)

 

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer 3-related occupation.

Position requires:

• C, C++, and Python for cloud networking;
• Linux operating system internals: Centos and Ubuntu Linux distributions, Linux file systems, Linux memory management, and Linux networking using Dpdk, and Linux networking packet processing;
• Computer networking: routing networking traffic using networking protocols, (BGP, MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS, and UDP), network security rules and policies, and SDN (software define networking);
• Debugging in Linux kernels: GDB, Valgrind, Wireshark, perf, strace, and pcap/tcpdump;
• Cloud development;
• AI coding using Copilot;
• Handling live C++ production code issues, and debugging linux kernel crashes and issues on customer cloud network environments;
