Job Description
Title: Video Game Specialist (US) - Freelance AI Trainer Project
Location: United States of America, West region, Remote
Job Description:
Are you an experienced PC gamer eager to help shape the future of AI? Large-scale language models are expanding beyond text into interactive, AI-generated environments capable of simulating dynamic virtual worlds. With high-quality human feedback, these systems can improve spatial reasoning, objective tracking, responsiveness, and environmental consistency. That training data begins with you—we need your gaming experience to help refine the next generation of AI-driven world models.
We’re looking for raters based in the US West region with strong PC gaming experience, particularly familiarity with keyboard and mouse controls and standard WASD movement. This project involves interacting directly with an AI-generated world model to navigate environments, complete defined objectives, and evaluate how effectively the system responds to player inputs and in-game scenarios.
On a typical session, you will navigate through virtual environments, complete structured tasks or objectives, assess world coherence and responsiveness, identify navigation or physics inconsistencies, and document reproducible issues in model behavior. You will provide clear, structured feedback on performance gaps, unexpected behaviors, objective clarity, environmental realism, and interaction smoothness. Attention to detail and the ability to articulate gameplay observations precisely are essential.
Strong PC gaming experience is required. Familiarity with first-person or third-person navigation using WASD controls is essential. Prior experience in Gaming QA, bug reporting, structured playtesting, or usability testing is a significant plus. Entry-level candidates with strong gaming proficiency and the ability to document observations clearly are encouraged to apply.
Ready to turn your gaming experience into valuable training data for advanced AI systems? Apply today and help improve interactive AI environments through hands-on evaluation.
We offer a pay range of $6 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary from the pay range listed above. As a contractor you’ll supply a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
