Health Care Management Nurse
Annual Salary:
Level I: - Y15A - $58,055.13 + Full State Employee Benefits
Level II: - Y15B - $62,409.27 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is occasional - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Level I:
- Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Two years of professional nursing experience
Level II:
- Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Three years of professional nursing experience
Job Responsibilities
- This Registered Nurse position fulfills medical eligibility assessment for Title 19 nursing home admissions, State Plan Personal Care, and Advantage Waiver applications. Complete a thorough evaluation of the medical level of care eligibility for each applicant.
- Telephone, Electronic, and/or In-Person Home visits in the assigned area with the applicant to complete a comprehensive assessment that is used to identify needs and make recommendations for medical eligibility for long-term care programs.
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 15 lbs. for transporting the computer.
- Maybe required to assist in other areas, as needed, due to the high application volume.
- Assists with Adult Protective Services evaluations as requested.
- Must have stable and reliable home internet (not a hotspot) for telework or will be required to work in the office.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's)
The KSA's required are the knowledge, skills, and abilities to analyze complex health concerns and issues; including the evaluating adherence to established healthcare standards and the effectiveness of health management plans and/or programs and recommending changes/revisions.
Employees have a high degree of independence in planning and completing work assignments and may function as the lead person on some special projects. It also requires professional nursing knowledge in reviewing, auditing, and analyzing nursing and healthcare services provided by direct care providers to ensure that the appropriate healthcare resources are used at the appropriate level to meet the healthcare needs of clients.
