Job Description
• Grow the Global Forwarding services by securing new profitable and sustainable customers for the office or territory
• Manage customer interactions including fostering relationships, making customer calls and closing deals
• Identify, prospect, and engage new customers through CRM, calls, and face-to-face visits within the assigned territory 3-4 days per week maintaining a strong presence in the local marketplace and participate in regional events
• Execute sales activities to meet or exceed revenue targets, leveraging market insights to present persuasive cases for change and tailored solutions aligned with customer supply chain goals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple decision-makers, ensuring ongoing account success in collaboration with internal teams; follow up on leads and facilitate smooth transitions to account management
• Use CRM and other tools to track opportunities, organize priorities, and maintain accurate records
• Partner with customers to understand needs and develop customized solutions using internal resources and CHR platform capabilities; lead proposal development and presentations
• Influence customers to adopt technology and automation for process efficiency from implementation onward
• Work closely with managers and cross-functional teams to align with branch strategies, forecast pipeline, and deliver seamless customer experiences
• Share best practices and contribute ideas to support regional team success
• Coordinate quotes, negotiate payment terms, and utilize internal pricing resources to develop competitive strategies
• Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills; assist in creating SOPs for effective account management
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years of operations experience from a freight forwarder or outside sales experience
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory, minimum 3-4 days per week
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology (Preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (Preferred)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively (Preferred)
- Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others (Preferred)
- Self-driven, results-orientated individual with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality and business profitability (Preferred)
- Keen sense for business development with a clear “hunter” mentality (Preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Preferred)
