Job Description

Role Description

  • Develop software to integrate cutting-edge prototype devices into the data collection platform.
  • Enhance the efficiency, reliability, and accuracy of the data collection process.
  • Deploy, test, and evaluate upgrades to the data collection platform.
  • Build and maintain systems for monitoring system health and data validation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to promote best practices and resolve issues.
  • Work onsite to debug problems and perform root cause analyses.

Qualifications

  • Must-Have:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • 6+ years of professional programming experience.
    • Full stack software development experience.
    • Proficiency in Python, Linux, and shell scripting.
    • Experience with cross-platform distributed (RESTful) systems.
    • CI/CD experience with Github or GitLab.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with hardware multimedia sensors.
    • Knowledge of audio, image, and video formats.
    • Experience with relational and graph/NoSQL databases.
    • Knowledge of React or similar frontend frameworks.
    • Experience with containerization and container orchestration.

Requirements
