Role Description
- Deliver programs within scope, quality, time, and budget, managing moderate-risk factors.
- Conduct strategic planning, resolve complex issues, and demonstrate excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Manage internal and contractor teams to deliver systems and enhancements meeting specified requirements.
- Coordinate engineering design deliverables, including specifications, DOE, and validation plans.
- Drive hardware component delivery for development builds and qualification to meet production timelines.
- Communicate program statuses, identify potential setbacks, and manage program structure for clarity and efficiency.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics.
- Experience with overseas suppliers of hardware components.
- Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models.
- Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs.
- Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes.
- Proven people management and team-building skills.
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
