Job Description

Role Description

  • Deliver programs within scope, quality, time, and budget, managing moderate-risk factors.
  • Conduct strategic planning, resolve complex issues, and demonstrate excellent communication and team-building skills.
  • Manage internal and contractor teams to deliver systems and enhancements meeting specified requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering design deliverables, including specifications, DOE, and validation plans.
  • Drive hardware component delivery for development builds and qualification to meet production timelines.
  • Communicate program statuses, identify potential setbacks, and manage program structure for clarity and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics.
  • Experience with overseas suppliers of hardware components.
  • Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models.
  • Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs.
  • Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes.
  • Proven people management and team-building skills.
  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
