Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Healthcare Virtual Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and other medical staff. Your main objective will be to assist in managing their day-to-day tasks and help them maintain high levels of productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails on behalf of healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Coordinate with insurance companies and handle billing and payment inquiries
- Prepare and submit medical claims and invoices
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment
- Assist with data entry and record keeping
- Conduct research and gather information as needed
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
- Provide general administrative support, such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or as a virtual assistant is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks
