Job Description
The Network Information Security Engineer with an emphasis on Network Security will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of network security infrastructure and services. The candidate will work closely with IT and Information Security, Risk, and Compliance and other business departments to maintain secure communication channels in alignment with business needs. The candidate must be familiar with Information Security and Networking best practices and their implementation in enterprise networks that support data centers, cloud computing, and onsite and remote workforces.
This role can be remote anywhere in the country. The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $170,000, plus an annual bonus. However Lakeview considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the roles and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, location and key skills.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of Network Security including Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Private Access (PA) and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
- Support a wide range of security technologies including, but not limited to: Firewall, IDS, SIEM, VPN, NAC, SASE and PA.
- Support public cloud security networking infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and various SaaS services.
- Monitor security systems and networking infrastructure for issues of compromise or performance degradation.
- Create and maintain network security documentation, metrics, diagrams, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in IT Security incidents, tests, audits and third-party reviews.
- Keep apprised of industry security trends and current network threat profiles.
- Participate in the IT Security Engineering on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access and Private Access technologies.
- Knowledge of network packet structure.
- Knowledge of secure network transport methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A structured approach for managing project tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong research and troubleshooting skills.
- Broad understanding of current information security technologies and security industry trends.
- Quick learner, adaptable, flexible, customer service oriented, a team player, and always closes the loop with the customer.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in network operations and/or network security.
- Experience with network event monitoring, flow analysis, and anomaly detection.
- Experience with Zero Trust Network Access, Private Access, and Cloud-native architectures.
- Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, and/or REGISTRATION
- Though not required, any of the following licenses or certificates are preferred: CISSP, CISA, CEH, CSSLP, CHFI, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, ITIL v3, MCP, CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+; CompTIA Security +, AWS, Azure
LOCATION & COMPENSATION:
- This role can be hybrid out of our Coral Gables, Florida office or be remote based anywhere in the US.
- Base compensation is expected to be $125,000 - $170,000 with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
