We’re looking for a to serve as the technical leader of a product engineering team. In this role, you’ll combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership—guiding architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and driving the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
You’ll work closely with product managers and engineering leadership to solve complex technical challenges, improve existing systems, and help shape the technical direction of our platform. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys building software while helping other engineers grow.
We are located in Memphis, TN, however we will consider candidates for remote work that are located in the greater Memphis area, Texas, or Florida.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the technical direction of a product engineering team, guiding architecture and key engineering decisions.
Own the end-to-end technical delivery of software solutions, from design and development through deployment and support.
Write and review code, perform system design reviews, and ensure high engineering standards across the team.
Mentor engineers and help the team solve complex technical challenges.
Collaborate with product managers to plan, prioritize, and deliver product initiatives.
Monitor the performance and availability of production systems and resolve issues as needed.
Contribute to architectural improvements and automation that enhance scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience building and delivering software applications in a production environment
Ability to contribute to system design and architectural discussions
Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance within a team
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience with full-stack or backend programming, Java and SQL preferred.
Familiarity with technologies such as Oracle Database, CockroachDB, Spring Boot, JBoss, JavaScript, Containers, Linux, Rancher, Ansible, and Bamboo preferred.
Experience working in Agile product development teams preferred.
