Summary:

Role Purpose Lead the conception and build of a new AI-centered product offering across OneDigital's Employee Benefits, Retirement, and P&C practice lines. The VP of Product defines the vision, shapes the roadmap, and works hands-on with practice leaders, consultants, and technology teams to bring AI-native tools from prototype to production. This is a 0-to-1 build role — not a maintenance or oversight role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for AI-centered capabilities across Benefits, Retirement, and P&C.
  • Translate OneDigital's business strategy into a sequenced roadmap with clear milestones and success metrics.
  • Identify opportunities where AI creates step-change improvements in consultant productivity, client outcomes, and revenue growth.

AI-Native Product Development

  • Lead design and delivery of AI-powered product experiences — including intelligent automation, document intelligence, analytics surfaces, and AI coworkers embedded in practice workflows.
  • Establish AI product standards: accuracy thresholds, compliance guardrails, and human-in-the-loop requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging models, tooling, and architectures for applicability to OneDigital's product surface.

Practice-Line Alignment

  • Build deep relationships with Benefits, Retirement, and P&C practice leaders to capture frontline needs and translate them into prioritized product requirements.
  • Serve as the executive advocate for practice-line needs within the product and technology organization.
  • Drive cross-practice harmonization — preventing siloed builds and aligning on shared capabilities where possible.

Go-to-Market & Adoption

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to define go-to-market strategy for new AI products.
  • Build consultant enablement plans, demos, and client-facing narratives that communicate value clearly.
  • Own product launch and rollout, with feedback loops back into the roadmap.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a product team including embedded product managers and AI product specialists.
  • Establish operating rhythms: roadmap planning, sprint reviews, backlog management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Champion rapid prototyping using low-code and AI-native tools to accelerate time to value.

Operating Model

  • Reports To: Chief Product Officer
  • Partners With: Practice Leaders (Benefits, Retirement, P&C), Technology & Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Strategic Change Lead
  • Scope: Product vision, roadmap ownership, team leadership, and GTM execution across three practice lines

Success Measures

  • AI product offering launched in production across at least two practice lines within 12 months.
  • Measurable consultant productivity gains tracked in hours saved and revenue influenced.
  • Strong adoption and positive feedback from frontline consultants.
  • AI products that serve as a credible differentiator in enterprise prospect conversations.
  • Clear, well-socialized roadmap aligned with executive strategy and practice priorities.
  • High-functioning product team with strong cross-functional relationships.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
