Job Description
• Lead and grow a team of backend and frontend engineers
• Own technical direction for Social Communicate
• Define architecture and long-term bets for player communication
• Empower, challenge, and coach team members
• Shape and drive the roadmap with stakeholders
• Partner with game teams and other departments to design relevant solutions
• Maintain clear and frequent communication regarding goals and tradeoffs
• Foster an inclusive, high-trust team culture
Job Requirements
- Experience as an engineering manager in the games industry
- Deep understanding of reliability, latency, safety, and user experience
- Experience building or operating consumer-facing products
- Experience with backend and distributed systems (real-time systems, messaging, event-driven architectures)
- Strong sense of ownership
- Ability to identify problems and drive clarity
- Comfortable in ambiguous and fast-changing environments
- People-centric approach to team building and growth
