Job Description

• Provide accurate and impartial ASL interpretation between ASL users and spoken English speakers. • Interpret in real time for calls, customer interactions, or other business-related communications. • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies and the Code of Professional Conduct. • Adapt interpreting style to meet the communication needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. • Communicate professionally with internal teams to ensure effective scheduling and coordination. • Comply with all applicable accessibility, privacy, and professional standards.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED: must be able to provide proof of education such as diploma or college transcripts at time of offer.
This position requires US Citizenship or 3 years of permanent residency.
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
Demonstrated experience providing ASL interpretation in professional settings.
Strong understanding of Deaf culture and best practices for accessibility.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality at all times.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during interpretation sessions.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for effective signing and visual comprehension.
