Job Description

• Manage a team of Underwriters that underwrite for our Wholesale HECM channel • Provide credit decisions and recommendations for complex situations • Leads and directs the work of their team of underwriters • Review and develop underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance • Hire and train new underwriters to the team • Interacts and collaborates with other Department Managers and Account Executives • Attend scheduled Operational and daily Round Table meetings • Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations

Job Requirements

3-5 years proven experience in Underwriting Management
3-5 years proven experience in Underwriting mortgage transactions
Reverse experience is required
Knowledge of Wholesale mortgage business channel
Extensive knowledge of FHA HECM, and Proprietary loan programs
Above average oral and written communication skills
Above average customer service, and analytical skills
Ability to collaborate with sales on complex transactions and perform resolution management
Ability to Coach, Mentor, and Train employees
Intermediate working knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, MS Outlook, SharePoint)
