Job Description
• A member of the brand leadership team critical in supporting brand strategy across Medical Marketing, HCP and Patient Marketing
• Provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight to the West Area Field Medical Marketing team
• Accountable for leading the team who orchestrate commercial engagements with HCPs and Patient brand ambassadors
• Guides the team in developing and executing comprehensive medical marketing strategies
• Provides leadership in brand planning and strategic development for the Field Medical Marketing plan
• Establishes strategic alignment and operational excellence of assigned Advisory Board execution
• Oversees efforts to secure KOL participation in congress events
• Works collaboratively with Legal and Compliance to model Neurocrine values
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement by providing personalized coaching and development opportunities for direct reports.
Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree in marketing, business, health policy, scientific or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing and sales strongly preferred
- OR Master's degree and 10+ years of similar experience preferred
- Extensive previous managerial experience also required
- Strong communicator and skilled diplomat in all venues
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions
- Track record of building strong cross-functional relationships
- Demonstrated capabilities in the areas of strategic thinking, initiative, problem solving, and creativity
- Able to maintain a consistent focus in an ever-changing environment
- Neuropsychiatry therapeutic area experience preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years in leadership roles managing field-based sales or marketing teams.
