Job Description

• Define, drive, and help to implement the technical roadmap across STARLIMS Engineering teams. • Provide technical direction for product architecture, system design, scalability, and security. • Oversee the delivery of high-quality software products on time and within budget. • Implement engineering processes and methodologies that optimize productivity and quality. • Help recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent. • Own engineering KPIs, metrics, and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in a Principal Architect role.
Proven track record of helping to lead large-scale engineering teams and delivering complex products.
Strong technical foundation in software development, architecture, cloud infrastructure, and modern engineering practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in helping to scale engineering organizations in a high-growth or enterprise environment.
Defining / executing technical roadmap.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a strategic mindset.
Proficiency in modern programming languages and concepts including: TSQL, PL SQL JavaScript, C#, HTML5, jQuery NET Framework, JavaScript Frameworks. Data structures and algorithms. Source control systems: Git/TFVC. Performance and Scalability patterns. Software Architecture. CI/CD knowledge. Ability to work cross-functionally / globally.
