• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process • Prepare and post journal entries throughout the month (accruals, prepaids, amortizations, reclasses, adjustments) • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts with strong audit-ready documentation • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the general ledger in NetSuite • Apply and maintain US GAAP–compliant accounting practices • Prepare schedules and support for management and external financial reporting • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reporting packages • Partner with FP&A, leadership, and external accountants as needed • Support audit and review processes, including responding to auditor requests • Serve as the accounting subject-matter expert for NetSuite • Maintain and improve close checklists, reconciliations, and documentation • Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting • Identify and implement accounting process improvements as the business scales • Apply accounting knowledge specific to the HVAC industry, including job costing and project-based accounting, revenue recognition for service, maintenance, and installation contracts, accruals related to labor, materials, and subcontractors
