Job Description

• Lead program analysis: spearhead the actuarial analysis for IKC programs, translating data into actionable insights that inform leadership decisions and strategy. • Drive performance insights: analyze medical/pharmacy claims and CMS revenue data to monitor developing experience, identify drivers of program performance, and forecast future outcomes. • Model financial scenarios: apply predictive models and sensitivity analyses to quantify risk and uncover opportunities within our VBC arrangements. • Ensure financial integrity: perform detailed financial and membership reconciliations. • Stay ahead of trends: research and synthesize healthcare industry trends to keep IKC at the cutting edge of population health management. • Support VBC contracting: utilize actuarial underwriting principles to support the development and negotiation of innovative contracts. • Deliver executive-level presentations: develop and present clear, compelling findings to senior leadership, effectively communicating the story behind the data. • Build strategic relationships: collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the financial and operational success of IKC programs.

Job Requirements

  • Education: bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Actuarial credentials: successful completion of 2-4 SOA examinations.
  • Experience: a minimum of 2 years in a relevant actuarial role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Technical skills: advanced proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mindset: demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Communication: excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for various audiences.
  • Personal attributes: a self-starter with a strong sense of accountability, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and a proven execution ability.
