Job Description
• Assess the capability of potential suppliers.
• Assess the manufacturability of new product designs
• Manage product and process development with suppliers.
• Review prototype and production part quality document submissions from suppliers.
• Issue corrective action requests to suppliers and provide support with their resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the supply base using quality and lean manufacturing tools.
• Participate in Supplier selection and evaluation.
Job Requirements
- BS, (or MS or Ph.D.), in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science or Physics
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Quality Management System auditing experience
- Strong Project/Process Management skills
- Sound interpersonal skills and strong ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with Statistical tools such as JMP, R, and Tableau are a plus
- Practical working knowledge and application of SPC.
- Ability to travel 0-20% of time.
