• Act as direct manager for a team of energy engineers and energy analysts • Manage client relationships, both internally and externally • Oversee the performance of the engineering team and ensure the team achieves both team and company performance objectives • Provide strategic guidance and prioritization of work to ensure work is effectively supporting the goals of the assigned utility programs. • Provide opportunities for engineers to grow professionally • Assure that engineering analysis is performed to the company’s standard of quality and certainty to achieve a high level of client satisfaction • Lead critical conversations with staff • Implement resource planning in conjunction with program managers and regional director(s) • Manage team projects and establish project scopes (deliverables, timeline, cost); basic understanding of contractual agreements • Provide performance reports to program directors and consult on potential improvements to improve team and program performance • Provide technical knowledge to explain complex energy issues to internal and external parties including customers and trade allies • Develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; understand organization's strengths and weaknesses; analyze market and competition; identify external threats and opportunities; adapt strategy to changing conditions • Synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data; use intuition and experience to complement data; design workflows and procedures
