Job Description

• Partner with product teams to understand and help develop theories of action which describe testable hypotheses for the impact of new features • Identify and measure success of initiatives through goal setting, forecasting, event instrumentation, monitoring, and ongoing analysis of core outcome metrics • Perform exploratory analyses on our rich datasets to extract insights about our teacher & learner behavior and guide our decisions around product roadmap and investments • Use your expertise with statistical techniques to quantify the impact of various features, programs, and interventions • Share results of analyses to non-technical audiences in ways that help them develop insights about our offerings • Contribute to the development of self-service analytics tools to enhance data access for the product team; work with our engineering teams to improve our tools and datasets

Job Requirements

Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.
Background in applied math, statistics, economics, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in data science or analytics
Proficient with statistical techniques (i.e., multiple regression, causal inference, AB testing, hypothesis testing) for real-world applications
Advanced SQL foundations & ability to manipulate data using R or Python
Compelling data storytelling and visualization (i.e. Looker) with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
Strong business intuition & judgment, with a knack for asking the right questions to drive impact
Prior experience working in the education industry is a plus
