Job Description

• Provide Systems engineering support for T-AO 187 Class Vessels • Provide support to shipboard engineering systems • Work with stakeholders • Use, maintain, and improve document authoring and drafting practices and tools to develop reports, manuals, and drawings with high efficiency and accuracy • Lead team to carry out Outyear Engineering Requirements for various class of ships including the T-AO 187 Double Hull Class • Design and develop interfaces between ship systems and new equipment • Author and develop design reports to accompany in-service modifications to ship systems • Develop advanced proficiency in 2D drafting practices to improve in-service modification

Job Requirements

BSME in Marine Engineering
Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience aboard a T-AO 187 Class Oiler
Experience with government contracts and in-service ship repair and ship new construction for DOD Vessels
Project Management skills
Ability to write concise reports and specifications in English with minimal oversight in MS Word
Extensive experience in ship design, modification, or maintenance projects
Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work alone on individual projects with minimal supervision and with other Engineering Disciplines on a team
Ability to interface with team members, technical leads, and Project Managers
Ability to review and apply US Navy and/or US commercial ship design requirements
