Job Description
• Lead and conduct comprehensive user research (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing, ethnographic studies).
• Define and articulate user experience strategies, information architecture, user flows, and interaction models.
• Create a wide range of design artifacts, including wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Develop functional prototypes to simulate user interactions and workflows.
• Contribute to the evolution and governance of our design system.
• Plan and execute usability tests, analyze results, and translate insights into actionable design improvements.
• Partner seamlessly with product managers, backend engineers, AI engineers, and frontend developers (React and Next.js).
• Champion user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and ethical design practices throughout the organization.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other designers and contribute to design critiques.
• Participate in interviewing and onboarding new team members.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in UX Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Strong, demonstrated experience designing for the healthcare sector, including familiarity with clinical workflows, patient portals, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Expert proficiency with leading design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Deep understanding and practical application of user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and a commitment to inclusive design practices.
- Extensive experience with various user research methodologies (e.g., qualitative interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry).
- Experience providing critical design feedback, and thinking strategically and analytically to solve complex design problems.
- Friendly communication skills and ability to work well in a diverse, cross-functional team setting.
- Demonstrated experience working with many cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Data Science).
- Demonstrated experience leading a software product or component's user experience vision and delivery plan.
