Job Description
• Primary responsibilities will include structural analysis for delegated steel connection design projects.
• Typical projects would consist of steel connection design, miscellaneous steel design, and erection engineering.
• Additional responsibilities include calculation development, steel shop drawing reviews, submittal preparation, RFI development and new calculation development to enhance efficiencies.
• Utilize analysis software programs such as Ram Connection, RISA Connection, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, Trimble Connect and Revit.
• Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design and shop drawing reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus.
- PE certification is a plus.
- 2+ years of structural engineering experience.
- An advanced understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards.
- Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills.
- Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
- Software skills with any of the following are a plus: Ram Connection, RISA Connection, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, Trimble Connect and Revit.
- Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Passion for steel design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel construction.
